Silly little Brian

Oh my this little boy of mine is just crazy. He keeps me entertained all day with the things he says. Today he had some lines I want to share with you. This morning Brianna was telling him to do something and he put his hands on his hips and said "you are not my mother." Then when Brian got home from work he said "mom punched ben today" then he paused..."on purpose, she did." Then I told him he better say just kidding because he is telling a lie, so he looks at Brian and says "April fools." Then I heard him in the toy room talking and saying over and over again "lets have a poopoo play date today...let's have a poopoo play date today.." Lovely huh? Gotta love three year old boys!

Happy Earth Day!

Here are my tulips in full bloom. They were so breathtaking, they are each about 2 feet tall! I probably had around 50 altogether in my yard and every time I saw them they made me smile. Today I was enjoying a wonderful lunch with my good friend Lauren and Brian (he stopped home to change out of his scrubs and of course, he wanted to be fed.) Anyway, we were eating Randi's yummy Chicken Enchilada Soup that I had just made and talking when Brian went to go check on the boys who were in the front yard. Well, Brian 3 and Spencer 4 had pulled out about 15 of the tupips (bulb and all) and almost all the rest of the tulips that remained they had wacked off th tops of them. There must have been a hundred petals flying everywhere! Oh my goodness I wanted to cry. I actually felt the tears coming on but had to stop them because Lauren would have totally made fun of me for crying over my tulips (she is super tough). Good thing Lauren and I are the kind of friends that we can just be ourselves around each other because I was really mad and yelling at little Brian! It was good that Brian was home and could tend to Ben! I couldn't help but say "Happy Earth Day!" Arrggghh Needless to say it has been a pleasant afternoon with Brian in his room for a few hours. Lauren is such a good friend, she replanted all the tulips but they are already falling and probably wont make it. I just have to remind myself that the tulips really weren't that important. I should take a picture of what the tulips look like right now but I am still too mad about it!

BROTHERS WHO ARE LOVING MATCHING JAMIES!

When we got home from our Anniversary weekend Brianna had a special surprise for us! She was so excited that as we were walking towards the toy room she was giggling! We went in and she had a blanket draped over her easel and then she uncovered this piece of work that she had done such a great job on. It said "Happy Aniversry, they have been meryd 10 years." She included pics of each of the kids and even was detailed enough to put my hair blond! She is such a great daughter and always does thoughtful things for everyone. I love her!

On a brighter note

Oh my goodness I just checked the weather and it shows 5 straight days of sunshine and weather btwn 60-70 degrees! I am so happy. The rain has really made everything so beautiful but we are all ready for the sun to shine! We have had a TON of rain. That is why yesterday was so fabulous! It was sunny and about 70 degrees. We mowed our yard for the first time since winter and spent the entire day outdoors! We all got sunburnt, especially Brian- who never sees the sun! So, now I am writing letters to all my YW who were there today just in case they didn't feel loved. Oh my, this calling of mine!

Church Church Church!

It was a challenging day today! Wow my calling is hard! This is Tuesday night when we were having fun! The Laurels (all two of them) came over and we cooked. We made pasta and cookies (it doesn't get better than that)! I used recipes from pickypalate.blogspot...so of course they were fabulous! We were supposed to do manicures at a nursing home but the laurels didn't get that together and I am trying to teach them that I don't pick up the pieces when they don't take responsibility so what do I do...reward them with cooking. It was funny though because I asked what they wanted to do instead of service and they said "eat" and so then I said "you want to cook" and they said "no we just want to eat." SO TYPICAL! They didn't get away with it. They did a lot of the cooking but they did get away with no dishes, lucky for them! They are good girls and I enjoy them but today was hard. I didn't feel well (I have a bad cold) so I was going to skip out. I didn't feel like wrestling with my three kids in sacrament meeting, husbandless, and coughing and decongesting all over the place. Anyway, I kept feeling like I really needed to go so I went after sacrament meeting and it was a good thing I did. My awesome friend and counselor said if I wasn't there she would have just walked out (yeah right Lauren). Anyway, we had craziness with our camp fundraiser which the girls are not really taking responsibility for. CAMP FUNDRAISERS ARE THE PITS! We are making fathers day cookies and we had to try to collect all the money today. Two of the other leaders were MIA so Lauren had to teach all of them. One of the YW (in Lauren's class) was asking why we had to combine (she likes it seperate classes) and I told her it was because the other beehive and laurel teachers weren't there and she was like "well don't you have a lesson planned always, just in case, my mom always did!" She always gives me trouble because apparently I don't do as good of a job as her mother, the previous YW president. Wow I am really venting I guess it's good my blog is private! The YW were also really struggling with how we conduct. I have tried so hard to get them to learn to conduct in a nice manner. Like stand (they want to sit and slouch) and ask the people who are doing the prayer, ect before you get up there. I just feels like I am always pulling teeth! I had to miss BYC because I dont think the bishop would appreciate my three kids in there with us. So since I am on a roll with my complaining...this Saturday I am giving a presentation at our Stake Enrichment on Beauty and Fashion (why me...I don't know) but it is very stressful, then the next Fri and Sat we have road show practice which I have to be there for and bring along 5 kids ( I am watching Laurens as payback for her watching mine last weekend)...Brian's working...again... and then the next Sat church cleaning. SO my next three Saturdays are scheduled for me...atleast I wont' be out spending money! OK I am grouchy. 11:03pm Sunday night and still no husband home! Poor guy!

TOTAL THIRD CHILD

He was even eating off of everone's plate!
Check out his hair...it is so funny!
Brianna's idea...put Ben in the shoebox!
He is loving life! She put all kinds of toys in there!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how relaxed I am now that I have three children. Ben was attempting to crawl towards the picnic blanket with the kids food on it and my natural reaction was to grab him and then I was like what the heck, he will have so much fun! Then later that night she was playing with him in the shoe box. His face in this last picture is like "mommy pleas rescue me."
