Before church

I came downstairs to get the kids fed before going to church and this is what I found!!! Apparently someone spilled crystal light all over the counter and the boys thought it would be soooo fun to lick it? Lovely!! Notice how close the tie is to getting in it.

The cutest boy EVER!

Oh this little Benjamin, he is so darn cute. He has been really testing my patience lately but I just loved this picture of him. God knows what he is doing when he makes them this cute! I think the 2 almost 3 year old age is one of the hardest. He is all personality and very funny but he is trying to declare his independence CONSTANTLY! If we let him he would rule this house. I have to constantly remind myself that I am the boss. That has never been hard for me (to be the boss :) except now.

The Liberty Bell...finally!

We have lived on the East coast for four years and have wanted to see the Liberty Bell. We finally made it. We had a busy day because we drove down to Lancaster and I ran in my 10k and the kids did a little fun run, we then headed for Philly. We spent the day checking out cool historically significant stuff and then went to the more fun place...King of Prussia mall (jk haha)! It was fun. Brian is so cute at historical places because he loves history and is a really good teacher to the kids. The mall was more fun than I thought because we split up and Brian had 2 kids most of the time and I had one. We were so exhausted on the way home!

Some cute crafty ideas

I stole this idea from Randi. I spray painted this desk black and then taped a lace piece of fabric over it and then spray painted it a cream color to form this cute little shabby chic pattern. This is for my craft room (just put Brian and Ben together). Then this second one is a little headband holder I made from an oatmeal carton. It's fun to finally have fun to do these things since I finished decorating for one of my neighbors (I decorated her house top to bottom). I'll have to post some pics of that house.

My projects

Brian has been working ALOT lately. UHHH what am I thinking...he really has never stopped working ALOT! But when I say a lot I mean everynight getting home after 9pm and either working or rounding most weekends! Although, I miss him, there is a perk to all of it. PROJECTS!!!! Since moving here I have really found a lot of things that I enjoy doing.

1. RUNNING (just ran a 10k 2 weeks ago)

3. reupholstering

4. being a weight watchers leader

I have found in my experience with other resident wives that we all like to be busy. It's our way of coping with the craziness. So here are some projects I have done lately. The first one is the before picture of this chaise lounge. I bought it for $47 and it cost me under $40 to reupholster it. The second is a chair I found on the side of the round. Brian was actually driving and I told him to pull over and pick it up and he started laughing. It took me 10 minutes of convincing/nagging to get him to turn around. This one cost $30bucks. The last one is a bassinet my friend Jen and I found at an antique market for $30 and I diva'd it up with spray paint, ribbon, and made a cute pillow and slip cover for it in the zebra print! FUN FUN!

ARIZONA here we COME!

We have some really good news to announce. I honestly never imagined myself calling a fellowship good news. However, thanks to answered prayers I do feel really good about it! Brian was matched with an adult reconstruction fellowship in Phoenix which will start in about a year! It will last for one year. Although, we definantly won't be moving into our dream house for awhile, we will be close to our family...which is FABULOUS! The time has really flown by and we have been richly blessed while here in PA! It's amazing how much we have been directed in everything we have done.
